About the Role

We are seeking passionate and experienced Assistant Nurses to join our team on a full-time, part-time, and casual basis. As an Assistant Nurse at SummitCare, you will be accountable to the Manager Care and Wellbeing and to the Registered Nurse for the resident care areas within the centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the day-to-day individual care needs of residents are met and maintained, under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and ongoing education programs to ensure that all aspects of resident care encompass the mission, vision, and operating principles of the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team to provide high-quality care and services to our residents.
Requirements
  • Certificate III / IV in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
  • Current Criminal Record Check.
  • Proven experience working in Aged Care.
  • Highly developed customer service and communication skills.

  • A caring and empathetic manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set time frames.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Capacity to have initiative and be innovative.
