Lead Research Specialist

The primary focus of this role is to provide expert research support, utilising clinical and problem-solving skills to co-ordinate patient care within a research framework. As a Lead Research Specialist, you will be responsible for managing allocated research workloads independently, following established protocols, policies and evidence-based standards.

About You
  • You hold a tertiary degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology or Social Work, and have AHPRA registration (if applicable).
  • You possess current vaccination status against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B, and are cleared of Tuberculosis screening.
  • You are required to declare any serious discipline history and undergo Criminal History Screening (cost covered by Queensland Health).

About the Role

This position sits under the Director of Allied Health Research, within the Emergency and Specialty Services Division. The team leads and supports research activity across Queensland Health, focusing on:

  • Developing research capacity and capability for allied health professionals;
  • Leading high-quality research generation and translation;
  • Grant writing and good clinical practice governance.
