Competition Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled lawyer to join our Sydney competition and disputes practice. You will work with a collegiate team, supervised by experienced practitioners across a broad spectrum of both front-end and back-end competition and consumer matters.

The role involves working on all aspects of competition and consumer law, including advice, litigation, marketing and advertising clearance work, regulatory investigations and prosecutions, general commercial litigation, and class actions. We act for large global and domestic clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality legal services;
  • Maintain and foster existing client relationships;
  • Support senior practitioners in achieving group goals involving delivery of legal services;
  • Litigation experience including briefing counsel, drafting Court Documents, corresponding with opposing counsel, Courts and Tribunals;
  • Be able to clearly articulate technical arguments; and
  • Research complex legal matters and provide concise and accurate summaries and advice to senior practitioners and clients.

Requirements:

  • Between 5 and 8 years PQE with demonstrable experience in litigation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Able to manage workflow and deadlines with minimum supervision in a busy but supportive practice;
  • A team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and assist as required by the team during periods of peak workflow;
  • Able to receive and assimilate feedback from senior practice members;
