**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

The Nursing Team at St George Hospital coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients/clients consistent with our policies, procedures, and standards.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients/clients in the Emergency Department
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective care plans
  • Monitor and report on patient progress and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles
