Open Pit Mining Operations Lead

This is a highly demanding opportunity for an experienced geologist to lead and supervise geological operations in a fast-paced open pit mining environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quality assurance and control analysis, integrating geological data into grade control models, and collaborating with the resource geology team.
Key responsibilities include managing stockpile tracking, overseeing reconciliation processes, contributing to short-term forecasting, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, and supporting team development through training and mentoring.
About YouWe are seeking a driven and experienced geologist with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership in open pit mining.
- You must hold a tertiary qualification in Geology (Honours preferred), with postgraduate studies and professional memberships (AusIMM, AIG) highly regarded.
- Over 6 years of industry experience in mine geology and grade control are required, with a solid understanding of geological interpretation, 3D modelling, estimation, QAQC protocols, and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in geological software (Datamine, Leapfrog, or similar and OrePro 3D) and database systems (acQuire) is essential, along with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
