Petbarn, a leading pet specialty retailer, is seeking a highly motivated Sales Assistant to join our team in Neutral Bay. With over 230 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a high-volume, disciplined retailer.

The ideal candidate will have a real customer service focus, with the ability to wow our customers. They will be highly motivated and proactive, with high integrity and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels. The successful candidate will also have composure under stress and pressure, a determination to succeed, and an eye for detail.

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, merchandising skills, and a commitment to the care of pets. You must be reliable, determined to meet high standards, and willing to be flexible regarding working days and hours. You will also be required to lift heavy items, such as bags of dog food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a pet-related industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items, as required
