About the Role

Erecting lifting tackles by attaching pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures and installing cables and attaching counterweights is a crucial aspect of this job.

Measuring, cutting, bending and fitting welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be mesh-reinforced requires precision and attention to detail.

Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours demands strong problem-solving skills and physical stamina.

Setting up winches and rigging equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns and other steel units involves coordinating with a team to ensure seamless execution.

Erecting guard rails, guy wires, ropes and clears, laying planks and hanging safety nets requires careful planning and risk assessment.

Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved is an essential part of maintaining site safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Ability to Identify, Locate and Repair Faults in Electrical Control Equipment: Proven experience in troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Minimum 2 Years' Experience in a Trade Background: Strong foundation in trade-related work
  • Previous Experience Working on a Mine Site (Preferred but Not Essential): Familiarity with mining industry operations
  • Current WA Drivers License (Essential): Valid drivers license for Western Australia
  • High Risk Work License: Compliance with industry regulations
  • White Card: Completion of WHS induction training
