Marketing Coordinator

Adelaide Film Festival is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our marketing team, you will play a crucial role in implementing our festival marketing strategy, connecting all aspects of our program to audiences, creating awareness, and driving ticket sales.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be part of a team that is passionate about cinema and festival audiences. If you have a sophisticated understanding of cinema and festival audiences, and are looking for a challenging role that will utilize your creativity, initiative, and project management skills, then we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of digital and social media strategies.
  • Content creation, including writing copy and basic design, photo, and video editing.
  • Liaise with media partners, cinemas, printers, publicists, audiences, and film industry professionals.
  • Coordinate marketing interns, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Other responsibilities as outlined in the position description.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Media, Arts, Film, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in film, the arts, or entertainment industry.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and digital.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their use in marketing.
  • Experience working with a team and external partners.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends during the festival period.
  • Other requirements as outlined in the position description.
