About the Role

This dynamic position involves collaborating with our expert claims team to revolutionize the management of mental injury claims. As a Mental Health Consultant, you will coach, mentor, and provide interventions for complex cases while guiding employers to foster mentally healthy workplaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Gallagher Bassett's Return to Work (RTW) Strategy for mental injury claims.
  • Conduct trend analysis to identify risks and strategize for continuous improvement.
  • Develop strategies and processes to address skill and knowledge gaps in mental injury claims management.
  • Facilitate face-to-face meetings with health practitioners, injured workers, and employers to ensure safe and sustainable return to work.
  • Oversee daily activities and administrative duties related to mental injury claims using WorkSafe's systems.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and RTW Specialists to manage complex mental injury cases.
  • Provide training and development support to clients needing help with mental injury claims.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance and quality in mental injury mobile return to work interventions.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation Counselling, or a related discipline. Experience in occupational rehabilitation or return to work/claims management is highly desirable. Excellent communication and de-escalation skills are essential for this role.
