About the Position
The JPS Medical team is seeking an experienced ICU Medical Consultant to join our ICU Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our ICU services.
About the ICU Unit
Our 12-bed ICU Unit is a Level 5 general adult medical/surgical ICU, offering a range of treatments including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, vasopressors/inotropes, renal replacement therapy, and plasmapheresis. We occasionally admit children on a case-by-case basis and work jointly with pediatricians. Our unit is accredited for 6 months of general training by the CICM, and we have a team of intensivists, registrars, and SRMOs on duty 24/7.
About the Facility
JPS Medical is a leading healthcare provider in the region, with a state-of-the-art hospital featuring 348 treatment spaces and 5 operating theaters. Our hospital conducts over 9,000 surgical procedures each year and has a Level 3 nursery and an 8-theater operating complex.
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Possess at least 12 months of recent experience at a Consultant level in ICU
- Hold or be eligible for the FCICM
- Be on the CICM training program
- Be an IMG eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ)
- Be an IMG with a CICM interview date
- Be an IMG assessed by CICM and found to be partially or substantially comparable
