Early Childhood Educator Role

The Y Ballarat organisation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an OSHC Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children within our Woodlea program.

Our childcare services aim to foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. We value our staff's dedication and commitment to delivering exceptional services that meet the needs of our community.

This part-time position involves working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. You will be required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check and undergo a National Police Check prior to commencement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children;
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues;
  • Monitor and report any child-related incidents or concerns;
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge;
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification. You must also be able to work effectively within a team environment and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
