About the Role

Total Tools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our finance team in Port Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and leading the AP and AR team, ensuring the AP and AR functions operate to a high standard, and building a high-performing cohesive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the AP and AR team, setting priorities, and guiding the team with day-to-day and monthly activities
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of creditor and debtor invoices, bank and cash drawer reconciliations, and resolution of open items and closing out any queries
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
  • Develop, maintain, and implement a cash collection process which ensures efficient and prompt collection of outstandings
  • Review supplier statement reconciliations on a timely basis and monitor aged creditors and debtors reports
  • Produce the month-end Accounts Receivable and Payable reports and ensure accurate and timely supplier payments
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end processes are followed and assist with internal, half-year, and year-end audit
  • Manage FileBound to ensure it is being used by the organisation in the most accurate and efficient manner, including ongoing improvements
  • Update, maintain, and document processes and compliance procedures, and process and system improvements to reduce risk, increase governance, and improve efficiencies
  • Provide training to and mentoring the AP & AR team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, or similar would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience leading a team
  • CA or CPA qualified (preferred but not essential)
