Job Title: Truck Mechanic

Our client, Maxitrans, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality engineered road transport equipment and solutions.

Job Summary:

The Truck Mechanic is responsible for serving and repairing vehicles as per repair order instructions within the service department. The ideal candidate will promote customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards and oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform work as per the repair order instructions
  • Advise the workshop foreman of any additional work required
  • Document all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommend any work not carried out during service and repair
  • Ensure customer vehicles are left in the same condition as they were received, including cleanliness and adjustments
  • Supervise apprentices and ensure they are trained and developed to meet the required standards
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues or equipment defects to management
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts
  • Attend dealership and service department meetings and online training as requested
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop area and account for all dealership-owned tools
Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate
  • Drivers' Licenses equivalent to the role, including car, light duty, truck, and agriculture
  • Technical knowledge as per qualification specifications
  • Customer service focus and ability to provide exceptional service across all channels
  • Effective communication and attention to detail
  • Teamwork and time management skills
