Regional Anaesthetist Opportunity in Rural Queensland

We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join our dedicated anaesthetic team in a rural, regional location in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care across various medical specialties.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and develop junior medical staff and anaesthesia trainees.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and participate in ongoing professional development and training.

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop expertise in clinical areas such as obstetrics, ICU, pain management, and regional anaesthesia.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and safety programs.

Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in anaesthesia for obstetrics and epidurals.
  • Engagement in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in paediatric anaesthesia (up to 5 years).
  • Interest or experience in Intensive Care management.
  • Expertise in regional anaesthesia and pain management.
