This role involves collaborating with patients and multidisciplinary teams to provide support for individuals to achieve their goals of independent community functioning. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the team to deliver individual or group interventions, provide feedback on patient progress, and report any changes in clinical status.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Individual or Group Interventions: Work under the direction of an allied health professional or multidisciplinary team to deliver individual or group interventions as delegated.
- Provide Feedback and Support: Provide feedback to the delegating allied health professional on patient progress and observe and report any changes in clinical status.
- Implement Clinical Activities: Implement clinical activities to meet the recovery goals of patients under the direction of an allied health professional or multidisciplinary team.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with patients and team members in a forensic mental health inpatient setting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem-solve and support decision-making with involuntary patients and team members.
- Self-Management Skills: Self-management skills including time management, organisation, prioritisation, and completion of duties in a timely manner with limited supervision.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant applications including CIMHA and Promaster.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Basic computer literacy, medical terminology, general mental health knowledge, and medical conditions knowledge.
