Job Title: Machine Technician - Visy Plastics Ingleburn

We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our Visy PET team based in Ingleburn, Sydney. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of blow moulding machines to ensure the production of high-quality plastic products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and calibrate blow moulding machines according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting of equipment and report any foreseeable issues.
  • Monitor, inspect and adjusting machine settings as required to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste and conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain and ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience, operating machinery within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • PET processing/operating blow moulding machinery experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Reliable team player, with a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
  • Experience operating a forklift and hold a current forklift licence is essential.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude is essential, and a trade background is a bonus.
  • Ability to work on our night shift (10pm to 6am).
  • Quality control and defect analysis- You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
