Required Skills and Qualifications
- Plan and prepare effective lesson plans that align with established curriculum and state standards
- Provide quality instruction based on established curriculum and state standards
- Establish clear objectives for all learning activities
- Display commitment to learning for all students
- Possess strong background in literacy instruction
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction and/or instructional strategies
- Create positive educational climate for students
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
- Participate in ongoing training sessions and professional development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date gradebook
- Observe and evaluate student performance
- Collaborate with grade level teams to discuss student work and share best practices
- Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met
- Prepare and distribute required reports
