Join a cutting-edge team as we seek a Mechanical Technician to play a pivotal role in the Test & Commissioning (T&C) of Hunter Class Frigate ships systems.
Job DescriptionConduct Set to Work (STW) activities, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the hull and deck systems.
As part of our dynamic T&C team, you'll have the opportunity to work with mission-critical hull and deck systems, including moorings, hydraulics, anchors, escape systems, cranes and helicopter landing equipment.
You will be responsible for conducting STW activities, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the hull and deck systems. You'll also train and qualify as an Authorised Individual to operate and maintain the ships systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience with mechanical hydraulic equipment.
- Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical) minimum or a relevant engineering qualification.
- Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and verification of systems is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills to tackle technical challenges across functions.
- Skilled in planning and coordination to keep tasks on track.
- Experienced in computer-based commissioning documentation, risk assessments, and work instructions.
