About the Role
  • Location: Hobart, Tasmania
  • Event Security/Security Officer roles
  • Weekday and weekend shifts available
  • 4 - 12 hour shifts available
  • Full availability preferred
  • Willing to obtain working with vulnerable people check

This role is crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. You'll have the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.

Key Responsibilities

As an Event Security/Security Officer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service skills
  • General security duties, including patrols, external and internal lock-ups, and more
  • Solving issues creatively and thinking on your feet
  • Having a clear understanding of communication lines and chain of command
  • Responding to emergencies and alarm protocols, including fire systems
  • Maintaining the security and integrity of buildings and infrastructure
  • Reporting incidents and hazards electronically or in writing
  • Being well-presented and well-spoken at all times
  • Having good IT skills and being able to adapt quickly to new technology
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A current Tasmanian Security Licence and First Aid Certificate
  • Flexibility to work 24/7 rotating rosters
  • A WWVP Check
  • Experience in a healthcare environment (highly desirable)
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • The ability to work in high-pressure environments
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full working rights

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is between $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
