Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team, providing exceptional support to dental practitioners in delivering superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and organize materials for dental procedures.
  • Welcome and prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring a comfortable and informed experience.
  • Assist practitioners during procedures by passing instruments, handling suction devices, and managing other tools.
  • Take and process dental X-rays, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintain and manage dental inventory, ensuring timely availability of required supplies.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on dental equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Adhere to strict infection control standards, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Provide receptionist duties when necessary: scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing inquiries.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

AQF Certificate II or III in Dental Assisting (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) or equivalent, and at least 2 years of full-time experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in dental practice management software; commitment to maintaining high hygiene and safety standards; outstanding organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Additional Certifications (preferred):

Radiation Safety Certificate for X-ray handling, Infection Control Certification, and First Aid Certification.
