Sandwich Artist

About the Role:

This is a key position at our company, and we are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Sandwich Artist. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing products, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling paperwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and Serving Guests: Greet guests with a cheerful and helpful manner while preparing their orders.
  • Product Preparation: Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests accurately.
  • Cash Handling: Use Point of Sale system/cash register to record orders and compute bills. Collect payment from guests and make change.
  • Inventory Management: Perform Cash-In Procedure to account for all forms of money, bread, etc., during shifts.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
  • Restocking: Restock items in the sandwich unit area to ensure sufficient supply throughout shifts.
  • Maintenance: Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation, service, and clean-up.
  • Hygiene: Clean and maintain all restaurant areas to promote a clean image.
  • Appearance: Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in our Operations Manual.
Prerequisites:

The following prerequisites must be met: some high school education or equivalent, no previous experience required. The ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

The following physical requirements must be met: working any restaurant area when needed, operating a computerised Point of Sale system/cash register, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally, frequent lifting of 10 pounds.
