This position plays a pivotal part in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking an experienced practitioner or recent graduate with a qualification in psychology, counselling, social work or similar to join our specialist services team.
Main responsibilities- Provide expert information to people with disabilities and their support network regarding evidence-based approaches to reduce the impact of challenging behaviour.
- Evaluate and align support delivered with the participant's NDIS plan.
- Conduct behavioural assessments with participants who have complex and challenging behaviours.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and families.
- A degree qualification (or higher) in psychology, social work, counselling, or similar is required.
- Knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities is highly valued.
