Companionship Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking a volunteer to provide companionship and engage older people in care at a residential aged care home through card games.

As a Games Volunteer, you will spend quality time with a resident who enjoys playing cards, enhancing their life and reducing feelings of isolation.

A key aspect of this role is promoting links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community, fostering connections that bring joy and fulfillment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging residents in card games and other activities that promote social interaction
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Building relationships with residents and their families

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently. You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check and NDIS screening.
