About the Role:

Our Forest Hill facility is looking for an engaging and proactive Lifestyle Assistant to join the team on a casual basis. Supporting our Lifestyle Coordinator, the Lifestyle Assistant will help with the delivery of appropriate and varied lifestyle programs to enhance and support the individual needs of residents.

As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will promote and assist our residents participate in meaningful activities while maintaining friendly and supportive professional relationships. You will be making a profound difference in the lives of our residents, enabling them to live their BEST life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the development and delivery of lifestyle programs to our residents, ensuring residents are able to participate and enjoy the programs
  • Assist with assessments, review and the ongoing evaluation of residents cultural, recreational and leisure needs and lifestyle interests
  • Provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with residents, their relatives and friends

About You:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents and clients, to support them to live life to their potential.

  • Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (desirable)
  • Ability to drive a 10 seater bus (desirable)
  • Have experience and knowledge in residential aged care with a commitment to high standards of care for residents and their families
  • Are known for your caring and compassionate nature
  • Experience as a Personal Care Worker in Aged Care highly regarded
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People card
  • Have Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance

Essentials for Working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Vulnerable People card/ Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance
