Key Highlights:

The CSSD Manager role at Ramsay Health Care presents a unique opportunity for a highly motivated sterilising technician or perioperative nurse to step into a management position. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your experience and skills to lead a team and ensure the effective delivery of care to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the perioperative management team and executives to provide an efficient service within the department and hospital
  • Ensure the smooth running of operating lists
  • Maintain high standards while adhering to all required legislation and guidelines
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of AS/NZS 4187 and its impact on the sterilisation process and procedures

Requirements:

  • An experienced sterilising technician with a certificate III in sterilisation services or an experienced nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Previous perioperative experience is preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to nurture and develop team members with a focus on education, training, and skill-based learning
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage the department with a focus on financial, human, and capital resources
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • IT skills including the use of computerised reporting systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant infection control standards and sterilisation guidelines including AS/NZS 4187
