Plumbing Trainee

School-based traineeships offer an ideal opportunity for Year 10 students to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in a real-world setting. At the Reece Group, we pride ourselves on being a leading international company with exceptional values and customer focus.

Our core business is supplying plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retail customers, but we also have several specialty businesses, including Irrigation, HVAC-R, Bathroom Life, Onsite, and Civil. In addition, we acquired refrigeration and air conditioning businesses Actrol and Metalflex in 2013.

We are seeking Year 10 students to undertake School–based Traineeships where they will work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations. The traineeship involves working in a Reece branch as well as completing certificate requirements, such as workbooks and on-the-job training and assessments.

This position is based at our Plumbing Wynnum branch. Key responsibilities include:

• Embracing our values, policies, and procedures
• Providing excellent customer service
• Completing all requirements of the certificate
• Processing sales and stock management
• Answering phone calls to take messages and orders
• Communicating with customers and staff
• Building product knowledge and providing follow-up to customers
• Contributing to maintaining the branch at a high standard

About You: We're looking for students with good written and verbal communication skills, ability to follow instructions, enthusiasm, and a great attitude. As a team player, you should be willing to give new things a go and maintain a neat and tidy workplace. Students will be required to work the equivalent of one and a half days per week, with Saturday availability and additional hours during school holidays available.

Estimated salary for this position is around $25-$30 per hour, depending on location and experience.
