About the Role

Green Light is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Integration Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, Newcastle, or Adelaide. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and integration of complex systems for aerospace and defence projects.

You will play a crucial role in testing and verifying mission systems, with a focus on communications, avionics, software, and security. Your expertise in hardware integration and testing, system requirements and design, verification and testing, training and simulation, and aerospace systems knowledge will be invaluable to our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with mission systems, including radio and IP communications, and a strong background in systems engineering, requirements, design, and verification. Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and knowledge of aerospace systems, especially avionics and safety/certification, are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Integration & Testing: Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to integrate and test mission systems, focusing on communications systems.
  • System Requirements & Design: Contribute to defining system requirements, design specifications, and testing methods using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Verification & Testing: Conduct thorough tests to ensure systems meet performance and safety standards.
  • Training & Simulation: Utilize aerospace and defence simulations for system testing and training purposes.
  • Aerospace Systems Knowledge: Apply your understanding of avionics and safety certification standards to ensure system integrity.
  • Process & Configuration Management: Manage processes for problem reporting, change control, and technical data coordination.
  • System Security: Ensure system security and support efforts to achieve accreditation.
Requirements
  • Experience with mission systems, including radio and IP communications.
  • Strong background in systems engineering, requirements, design, and verification.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Knowledge of aerospace systems, especially avionics and safety/certification.
  • Experience in system security and achieving accreditation.
  • NV1 Clearance.
  • Location Flexibility: Brisbane preferred, but Newcastle and Adelaide also considered.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with training and simulation systems for aerospace or defence.
  • Strong software testing skills, including automation and system integration testing.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
