We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Senior Housing Officer within our organisation. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Your primary responsibility will be to respond appropriately and sensitively to customers in need, understanding their specific housing requirements and addressing their concerns effectively.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for approving high and very high need social housing applications and transfers, ensuring that all assessments are conducted to a high standard.
A key aspect of this role is developing effective working relationships with stakeholders to improve customer outcomes and processes, as well as managing formal internal and external complaints and facilitating resolutions.
You will also supervise team activities, exercising delegation as required, and monitoring performance, workload management, and addressing operational issues.
This position requires you to work primarily in the field, meeting with customers who are rough sleeping, and conditions can be changeable and volatile. You must be vigilant and able to manage risk effectively.
Regional roles may involve overnight travel within the state, so you must be willing to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential risks and challenges.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
- Certified Class C driver's license, with a willingness to travel for work purposes.
