Job Title:

Spinal Care Specialist


About the Role:

This is a specialist position that involves working with clients to diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those related to the spine. You will conduct comprehensive osteopathic assessments to develop tailored treatment plans based on client needs and goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough clinical examinations to identify areas of imbalance and restriction in the body.
  2. Develop effective treatment plans incorporating a range of techniques, including manipulation, soft tissue therapy, and exercise prescription.
  3. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all interactions, diagnoses, and treatments administered.
  4. Educate clients on self-care strategies, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises to promote optimal spinal health.
Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum Bachelor's degree in Osteopathy from an accredited institution.
  • AHPRA registration as an Osteopath, ensuring compliance with relevant professional standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

Prerequisites:

In order to be considered, applicants must:

  • Hold current AHPRA registration as an Osteopath.
  • Have at least one year of clinical experience (desired but not necessary).
  • Possess qualification to hold provider numbers with all health funds.
  • Be an active member of the Osteopath association.
  • Hold Professional Indemnity insurance.
  • Hold Apply First Aid level 2 certification.
  • Possess an Active ABN.
