Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Development Professional to join our team and drive business growth in the Specialty Medicine segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global life sciences company that advances patient health and empowers clear, confident decisions through innovative diagnostics. As a Sales Development Professional, you will be responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities for continued growth across our specialty segments.

The territory covers Richmond, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake Virginia, with an ideal location in Richmond, VA. You will function as an outside sales representative, primarily focused on growing new business in the defined, assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute annual business plans with quarterly updates
  • BUILD and maintain a sales pipeline that drives revenue goal achievement
  • Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with monthly quotas
  • Maintain and organize an annual book of business, meeting and exceeding sales growth goals in the assigned territory
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and champion of Labcorp's expansive list of specialty testing solutions for customers and prospective clients
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred)
  • Previous outside sales experience (required); preferably 5 years
  • A strong comfort level in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Previous experience selling directly to physicians required
  • Successful experience in the AP or clinical specialties space preferred
