We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our Business Advisory division as an accountant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters.

About the Role

This position involves assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for our clients. You will also be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, performing monthly reconciliations, and completing and posting daily timesheets. Additionally, you will prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries, and proactively engage with clients to build their trust and confidence in our firm.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for our clients.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciliations:
    • Perform monthly reconciliations for debtor and creditor accounts.
  • Timesheets:
    • Complete and post daily timesheets.
  • General Ledger Maintenance:
    • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analysing account information.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Proactively engage with clients by phone or in person to build their trust and confidence in William Buck.

We require a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software is a plus.
