Train Maintenance Technician

You'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our rail services.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Train Maintenance Technician. You'll work on the maintenance and repair of Hunter Line diesel passenger trains, assisting in the upkeep of our fleet to ensure they remain in or return to service.

  • You'll be part of an experienced team undertaking regular scheduled maintenance tasks, including decanting, washing and trades assistant duties such as graffiti removal, seat recovering, window tinting and workshop housekeeping duties.
  • Travel may be required to assist with breakdowns at various locations.
  • You'll work both individually and as part of a friendly and supportive team, prioritizing safety and quality throughout your work.

About you

We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, who's able to work autonomously but also collaborate effectively with others.

Experience in a similar field or trade background is desirable, although training is provided on the job.

You should be open to travel and hold a current 'C' class licence.
