School Officer Role
Job SummaryThe School Officer plays a vital role in supporting student learning and classroom activities.
- Provide support to individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in learning and school activities.
- Assist students with specific learning needs, including scribing, reading, and providing feedback and observations to the classroom teacher(s).
- Support student engagement by reinforcing appropriate student behaviour.
- Provide practical assistance to students in using classroom technology.
- Perform administrative tasks, including record maintenance, producing resources, and other classroom administrative support.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy classroom environment, including storage facilities and setting up appropriate classroom/learning space.
- Provide routine support to students with physical needs, such as mobility support and personal care.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a positive attitude towards working with children.
Essential Requirements- A valid Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).
- A current Driver's Licence.
- The ability to travel within a designated area.
- The capacity to perform the physical requirements of the role safely.
