We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Learning Specialist to join our team at the State Government Of Victoria, Australia. As a Learning Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of high-quality teaching and learning practices across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model exemplary teaching and learning practices, including the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
  • Implement school priorities and lead the development of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Provide expert advice on the context, processes, and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning.
  • Supervise and train student teachers and mentor and/or coach teachers to improve their effectiveness and development.
  • Develop and promote school-wide professional learning structures, processes, and protocols through Professional Learning Communities.

Requirements:

  • Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and modelling of high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage in collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
  • Experience in leading a school section and knowledge, expertise, and innovation in the implementation of the Yarra Ranges Special Developmental School's instructional framework.
