Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated support worker to join our team in Melbourne.

  • This role involves working closely with individuals with disabilities, providing personalised care and support based on individual needs and preferences.
About the Role
  • The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, community access and general day-to-day tasks.
  • Building meaningful relationships with clients is essential to fostering trust and effective communication.
  • Promoting independence and empowering individuals to achieve their goals is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in disability support or a related field is desirable but not essential
  • A qualification in Certificate III Disability or Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) is required
  • A current and valid Driver's Licence and insured, reliable car are necessary
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain it
  • Compassion, empathy and patience when interacting with individuals with disabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in using technology such as smartphones, email and internet
  • A desire to join a mission-based organisation committed to caring for others
