Equipment Inspector – Mobile Fleet Professional

Thiess is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Equipment Inspector to join its team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of Caterpillar 793s, 785s, D10s, D11s & 24s.
You will identify, document and escalate defects with detailed notes and photos. This will involve collaborating with planners to assign appropriate labour, cost-effective parts and accurate timelines to work orders.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist with parts organisation and transport needs for time-critical tasks. You will also support continuous improvement in defect turnaround, asset health and reliability.
This role requires a heavy diesel fitter, plant mechanic or related trade qualification. Experience working with Caterpillar models is essential. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities are required, along with a sharp eye for detail.
A valid Australian manual driver's licence is also necessary for this position.
