Assistant Import Manager Role

This leadership position focuses on coordinating import-related activities.

  • Lead a team of 9 professionals, reporting regularly to the General Manager.
  • Oversee customer orders and develop solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Coordinate with overseas stakeholders to secure shipping rates.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to optimize growth and performance.
  • Prepare and submit tenders for business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the GM to establish and execute sales strategies.
  • Drive continuous process improvements for booking efficiency.
  • Distribute vessel booking information and support operational decision-making.
Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:

  • A strong track record of managing teams through effective direction, coaching, mentoring, and task delegation.
  • Several years of experience within the freight forwarding and shipping industry.
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to consistently meet multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel and other relevant software.
