About the Role

This position involves providing essential support and care to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those recovering from injuries. Your daily tasks will focus on helping clients regain independence and live comfortably in their own homes.

  • Personal care services such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing are among your responsibilities.
  • You will also provide social support through companionship or attending community appointments and recreational activities.
  • Clients benefit from capacity-building activities that assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
  • Domestic assistance includes meal preparation, grocery shopping, light household cleaning, and other supportive tasks.
  • Accurate attendance records must be maintained using a smartphone application, along with summaries of completed tasks.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A valid National Police Check (less than a year old for NDIS Worker Screening Check).
  • A current Victorian Driver's License.
  • A comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained vehicle is necessary.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification is required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
What We Offer

We offer SCHADS award wages with generous allowances and reimbursements for casual rates of home support workers. Remuneration is divided into two sections: base rate for disability and aged care services, and then allowances and reimbursements.
