We are seeking a skilled medical transcription specialist to provide administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical transcription services including responding to general enquiries, maintaining filing systems and typing of medical reports.
- Analyse and coordinate all correspondence (including incoming and outgoing mail, briefings, telephone calls and emails) for action, utilising appropriate tracking systems and deadlines to ensure matters are dealt with in regard to importance, priority and urgency.
- Maintain records management system (general and electronic), in line with State Records Management Act, to facilitate appropriate management of business documentation and correspondence.
- Prepare agendas, minutes and other papers including draft terms of reference for meetings and committees.
- Manage travel and organisational arrangements including conference bookings as required.
- Maintain stationery, stores and process purchase orders/payments for the workplace, as well as identifying and acting upon equipment day-to-day functioning, interim checks and replacement/repair as necessary.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks.
- Experience in medical transcription.
- Intermediate computer skills - Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
