About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our team at Zone IT Solutions. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing scalable data processing systems on the AWS platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering: Design and implement data pipelines for efficient and reliable data transfer and transformation.
- Cloud Architecture: Develop and maintain cloud-based data architectures on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data solutions that meet their needs.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to improve data engineering processes.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Strong experience in AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, and EMR.
- Skills: Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and scripting, familiarity with ETL frameworks and tools such as Apache Spark and Apache Airflow, knowledge of data modeling and database design principles, experience in working with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Hive.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty certification is a plus.
