Job Description

The role of Principal or Senior Water Resources Engineer is available at WSP in Australia. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Mine Surface Water Team.

About the Opportunity
  • This role involves delivering on iconic Mine Water projects, utilising extensive technical knowledge and experience.
  • You will provide technical guidance, assistance and review of non-Newtonian dam break assessments.
  • Direct, review and conduct necessary rainfall, flow and flood assessments, including modelling, mapping, flood mitigation design, and risk assessments.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on hydrology, with proficiency in GIS applications and hydraulic modelling software.

About You
  • We are looking for a Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Masters (MSc) degree in hydrology or a related discipline will be advantageous.
  • CPEng status or relevant experience to work towards accreditation.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing skills, with experience in proposal writing and technical reporting.
