About the Role

We are seeking a Defence Systems Professional to deliver complex projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORT THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF ENGINEERING PROGRAMS, ENGAGING WITH INDUSTRY PARTNERS AS NEEDED
  • DEVELOP REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR DEFENCE SYSTEMS
  • LIAISE WITH PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS, PROVIDING MENTORSHIP TO JUNIOR TEAM MEMBERS
  • PROVIDE ENGINEERING ADVICE TO PROJECT LEADERSHIP ON PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
  • REVIEW AND ACCEPT CONTRACT DELIVERABLES, SUPPORTING CERTIFICATION ACTIVITIES
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification, plus postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields
  • Deliver high-quality engineering documentation to support government approvals and project delivery
  • Initiative, creativity, and responsibility to perform complex technical tasks with limited guidance
  • Manage technical risks, applying testing and evaluation techniques across system development life cycles
  • Formal qualifications in Communications or other technologies relevant to tactical data links
  • Understanding of defence processes and structures
  • Negative Vetting 1 security clearance as required by the Commonwealth
