About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, building, running, and evolving tools, infrastructure, templates, and capabilities that other engineers use to deliver business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and build platforms that enable delivery of customer value at greater quality, velocity, and safety.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain underlying infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and scalability, and troubleshoot network incidents.
  • Network Connectivity: Discovery and validation of network connectivity requirements using enterprise tools like Infoblox, Splunk, AWS Cloudfront & Route53.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with project teams to understand network connectivity between VMware, Windows, and Linux endpoints.
  • Cloud Integration: Integrate with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure, and hybrid cloud network integration.
  • Service Management: Ensure all services within the IT service portfolio are managed with consideration to network, capacity, platform, sociability/scalability factors, and target architecture.
  • Support and Implementation: Support and implement changes outside regular business hours, including after-hours on-call (rotation basis) and occasional travel to data centre locations.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Networking Experience: 2-3 years of general networking experience, with expertise in troubleshooting networking issues in production.
  • Application Flow Understanding: Understanding of application flow in terms of networking.
  • Loading Balancing Basics: Load balancing basics.
  • DNS/DHCP/IPAM Experience: DNS/DHCP/IPAM experience preferred.
  • AWS/Azure Experience: AWS/Azure experience - fundamental services knowledge required, experience preferred.
  • Network Automation: Network automation - any scripting language (Python or bash preferred), Terraform/Ansible experience preferred.
  • CICD: CICD - basic understanding, experience preferred.
  • Git: Git - experience working with shared codebase.
  • Linux: Linux - basic CLI skills, OS configuration.
  • Enterprise Experience: Enterprise experience preferred.
