About the Job

At our cafe, we are seeking a highly skilled team member to join our team. As a Cafe All Rounder, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, operating point-of-sale systems, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service by greeting customers, taking orders efficiently, managing enquiries or complaints, and ensuring every guest feels valued throughout their experience.
  • Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and beverages while assisting with light food preparation such as sandwiches, toasties, and salads, ensuring all items meet cafe standards for portion, presentation, and quality.
  • POS and Cash Handling: Accurately operate the point-of-sale system to process cash and EFTPOS payments, manage transactions efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized area at all times.
  • Cleaning and Hygiene: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all front- and back-of-house areas by following food safety procedures, clearing tables, resetting dining spaces, and assisting with dishwashing as needed.
  • Stock and Inventory: Restock shelves, fridges, and displays, monitor use-by dates, report low stock or wastage promptly, and receive and store deliveries in line with food safety and stock rotation practices.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues by communicating clearly with kitchen, barista, and front-of-house staff, supporting the team during busy periods, and contributing to smooth daily operations.
About You

A highly skilled and reliable team player who can listen and understand client needs and requirements. Availability to work over 7-day roster is essential. Relevant industry training, food handling and hygiene certificate, knowledge of food safety and HACCP compliance are also required.
