Job Title: Administrative Support Officer
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Mental Health Unit, you will provide high-level administrative and public/customer relations support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clinical needs of the ward, including admissions and discharges within the Mental Health Unit at Gosford.
- Prepare and manage legal documentation in accordance with the Mental Health Act, including documents for Mental Health Tribunal hearings, inpatient inquiries, and community treatment orders.
- Deliver reception and general administrative duties such as patient list preparation, typing, photocopying, and maintaining up-to-date admission/discharge records.
- Coordinate ward/unit administrative systems to ensure office efficiency, aligned with LHD policies and standards.
- Provide responsive, effective customer service, managing enquiries and information flow.
- Perform minute-taking for meetings and manage meeting documentation.
- Assist senior officers and train other administrative staff as required.
- Travel across the Central Coast Mental Health Service to assist with vacancies and leave relief as directed.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and work in a busy environment without supervision, within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Mental Health environment.
