About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials, ensuring a seamless supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Familiarize yourself with Moderna's warehouse operations and manage the receipt and storage of production materials within 3 months.
  • Begin picking and verifying items in the warehouse to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Learn and implement Moderna's internal procedures for labeling and handling materials, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Independently coordinate deliveries to internal customers and complete daily SAP transactions within 6 months.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and oversee the wipe-down activities for materials entering manufacturing suites.
  • Efficiently manage the segregation of expired materials and maintain up-to-date inventory records in the SAP system.
  • Become proficient in executing all warehouse operations with minimal support, ensuring efficient support to the manufacturing teams within 12 months.
  • Lead initiatives to improve warehouse operations, focusing on safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the warehouse ops lead and the global supply chain team to optimize warehouse processes and contribute to Moderna's overall supply chain effectiveness.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in Warehouse Operations and Shipping.
  • BS/BA Degree preferred.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, Pharmaceutical, or related field.
  • Warehouse experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • A current Forklift license.
  • Ability to lift and move products.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (SAP, Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, and Excel).
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Collaborative, and customer-focused attitude.
