- Lead the Classification and Coding Service through an exciting transformation phase, driving innovation and exploring new technologies such as AI to support modern workflows.

This key leadership position is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the Classification and Coding Service.
Full-time opportunity with flexible working hours available. Some movement between inner-city sites may be required.
Responsibilities include:
Strategic focus:
- Assess current team structure and devise a new structure that supports staff and business objectives.
- Develop workforce plans to ensure continuity of service.
- Coach, inspire and encourage Coding team members to excel in their roles.
- Explore and implement AI and other technologies to enhance coding processes.
- Facilitate digital transformation and leverage EMR systems to support coding.
- Manage change within the service to minimize disruption to service delivery.
Expertise:
- Provide expert advice on coding, classification and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships to stay up-to-date on latest industry developments.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or equivalent.
- Experience in coding, casemix data collection and analysis.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Proven experience in managing change in complex environments.
- Collaborative approach and ability to build positive team culture.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with stakeholders.
