About the Opportunity

You will be an experienced OTR tyre technician supporting local and mining operations with hands-on expertise in tyre fitting, stock management, and customer service based in the Leonora area or FIFO from WA. This pivotal role involves operating trucks and telehandlers to fit tyres and taking the lead in maintaining customer relationships and managing stock.

This opportunity will see you handle customer inquiries, quotes, and booking schedules with exceptional service. You will also manage orders for tyres and consumables, maintain accurate stock levels, and conduct tyre fitting and repairs for OTR (Off-The-Road) tyres primarily for mining and earthmoving machinery.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle customer requests efficiently, providing quotes, booking schedules, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Manage orders for tyres and consumables to ensure timely availability and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, managing relevant inventory effectively.
  • Conduct tyre fitting and repairs for OTR (Off-The-Road) tyres, focusing on mining and earthmoving equipment.
  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and manage tyre wear and damage to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Operate various vehicles, including trucks and telehandlers, while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Complete necessary documentation, such as JHAs and inductions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assist labour hire to nearby mining companies as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with proven experience in OTR tyre fitting for mining or heavy industry equipment. A strong understanding of tyre safety, inspection, and repair techniques is essential. Relevant certifications and tickets for tyre fitting and handling are preferred.

In addition, we are looking for someone who is proactive, safety-oriented, and detail-focused, with the ability to work autonomously and within a team setting in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work FIFO or be based in the Leonara region is a must.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $140,000 per annum, along with a $160 meal allowance per fortnight.
