As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for working with adults and/or children with complex disabilities, supporting them to build their independence and relationships. Your duties will include:

  • Providing an enjoyable, respectful, and safe environment for all clients.
  • Providing personal/physical care and support to clients, including grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Supporting the use of physical and communication aids and devices, as well as other personal equipment where required.
  • Assisting clients to participate successfully in individual interests, hobbies, and relationships in the community.
  • Supporting clients to access recreational services, transport services, and other community resources.
  • Advocating for and assisting clients, their families, and significant people in their lives to access and engage with community.
