About the Role

As a Senior Tax Analyst - Indirect Tax, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to our clients in the Financial Services industry. This is a newly created role that will be responsible for GST, Stamp Duty, Payroll Tax and other applicable Indirect Taxes across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review of Indirect Tax returns, including GST, Stamp Duty and Payroll tax following review by the specialist tax operations team;
  • Business Partnering with teams nationally to influence business decisions taking tax legislation into account;
  • Management of the Group's Indirect Tax risk, in accordance with the Tax Governance framework, policies and procedures;
  • Assisting with tax audits, reviews and disputes, including liaison with the ATO;
  • Support the Head of Tax and Head of Indirect Tax with the preparation of board and audit committee reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an accounting, business or law related field;
  • CA/CPA Qualified;
  • 7+ years' experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, or in the commercial environment, with a solid understanding of the Financial Services industry preferred but not essential;
  • A 'can do' attitude, embracing of change and with a natural ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
